Gomez and Sadlon is an instrumental jazz/smooth jazz duo that performs a wide range of music from easy listening jazz to instrumental arrangements of light rock and pop songs. Their music has been described as popular, yet artistic, and appealing to a wide range of audiences. Rick Sadlon performs on saxophone and flute and Thom Gomez is a guitarist. Their repertoire ranges from beautiful arrangements of traditional jazz standards to more modern smooth jazz versions of classic popular songs ranging from Gershwin, Jobim, Latin Music and Ellington to the Beatles, Jethro Tull, Sade, Santana, James Taylor, Sting and Billy Joel. Some recent performances include the First Thursday Jazz series at the Mattatuck Museum, various corporate parties and receptions, ll Palio in Shelton, The Barnwood Grill in Newtown, a Carolyn's Place benefit at the Pontelandolfo Club in Waterbury, private parties and events throughout the tri-state area, the Aldrich Museum in Ridgefield, Mitchell College, Eastern Connecticut State University, Lauralton Hall, the Roger Sherman Inn in New Canaan, the Mohonk Resort in New Paltz, NY, The Norwalk Inn, Hollandia Gift & Garden Center in Bethel, The Candlewood East Marina, The Stone Park Café in Brooklyn, NY and as part of the summer music series at McLaughlin Vineyards in Sandy Hook, CT. Gomez & Sadlon provides a full band sound for the price of a duo and offers their clients great value, professional service and studio quality sound for their events.
